Claudio Stanzani, Managing Director.
Born 1948 in Italy, graduated in Political Sciences at University “La Sapienza”, Rome.
From 1984 onwards: President of SINDNOVA, the Italian institute for studies on innovation and change of production and labour conditions (Rome).
Previous work experience: expert and, from 2000, manager of the ETUC project “Infopoint” supported by the European Commission.
From 1990 to 1994 he was the Italian correspondent for the European Observatory of Industrial Relations – EURI, supported by DG V of the European Commission.
From 1991 to 1994 he also acted as advisor contracted by DG V, unit D, for Social Dialogue issues.
As Managing Director he is responsible for the overall day to day running of the SDA and he is currently also the Interim Director for Social Dialogue and Information and consultation rights.

Ludo Vekemans, Services and Development Director.
Born 1950 in Belgium, he has studied Administrative Sciences, government law and Taxation law.
His work experience includes responsibility for the Multinational Companies Audit at the Foreign department of the Belgium Ministry of Finance.
At the moment he acts as tax-adviser to the ETUC as well as Services and Development Director to the SDA.

Alexandre Martin, Project Manager.
Born in 1978 in Brussels, French and Ecuadorian nationalities. He holds a BA in Economics and an MA in European Studies from Sussex University (UK), as well as a Masters degree in European Political and Administrative studies from the College of Europe, Bruges (Belgium).
He has previously worked in a regional representation in Brussels and in a European Public Affairs consultancy, which, among others, has given him the opportunity to gain experience in project management.
He has joined the SDA in March 2006 and is currently working as an “Expert” on the Infopoint project, where he assists in the submission of project proposals.

Marina Monaco, Expert,Project
Manager. Born 1976 in Italy. Graduated in Law (University of Bologna), she holds a Master in European Labour Sciences (University of Milan – Univesitaet Bremen). Her previous work experience includes six months at the Human Resources department of Deutsche Bank in Berlin working on collective agreements for the banking sector, an internship at the European Trade Union Institute for Research in Brussels, and a traineeship at the European Commission, DG Employment, Unit Social Dialogue and Industrial Relations). Her main fields of research include the industrial relations and the trade union rights in the public sector.
She has joined the SDA in January 2007 and is currently working as an “Expert” on the Infopoint project, where she assists in the submission of project proposals and drafts analysis papers.

Nunzia Sabatino, Assistant to the Managing Director.
Born 1971 in Belgium. Diploma “Secrétaire de Direction”.
Her work experience includes: secretary in the pharmaceutical sector at Bristol Myers Squibb and Roche (Belgium).
From 1995 to 1998: she worked for DG Employment and Social Affairs at the European Commission managing financial dossiers on the budget lines B3-4004 and B3-4003.
More recently she has worked as an assistant on the Infopoint project for the ETUC with specific responsibility for budgetary issues.
As Assistant to the Managing Director she deals with general administrative matters for the SDA as well as with accountancy issues.

Pierre Nguyen, Assistant.
Born in Belgium 1947, graduated in Interpretation and Translation at the Institut Libre Marie Haps (ILMH, Brussels).
Translator (English – German – French - Dutch) at the ETUC since its creation in 1973.
From 1996 to 2000: responsible for managing a PHARE project on the establishment of the National Integration Committees (NICs) in candidate countries, in view of their adhesion at the UE for Infopoint.
He also helped these organisations in mounting projects on budget headings B3-4003 (now 04030303) and 4004.
He currently assists with the management of the EWC Agreements database, continues to ensure contacts between the NICs on different projects and is in charge of translation and publications for the SDA.
He has also been a member of the Health and Safety Committee (CPPT) of the ETUC since its establishment.

Natalie Glück, Expert.
Born on December 26th 1983 in Germany, Natalie Glück has obtained a degree in European Studies at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany and at the University of Olomouc, Czech Republic, taking an interdisciplinary approach to European integration and focusing on various aspects of European integration of candidate countries. As Scholar of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, she has completed her training with a Master of Public Policy at the Erfurt School of Public Policy, University of Erfurt, with a Master thesis on the Reform of the German health care system. Her main focus of interest concerns policy analysis, management and leadership; European Public Policy and International Political Economy; and more particularly the European social and health policies
Her professional experience includes notably: an Internship at the German federal health ministry, Berlin (department for EU-coordination); a traineeship at the European Trade Union Institute ETUI in Brussels; a research on the situation of European Companies (SE) in the Czech Republic, a research of German literature on empirical studies about co-determination in supervisory boards and her participation in meetings and conferences on issues concerning the trade union movement. She has also led a research in co-operation with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) on EU trade policy. An active member of the Czech-German Youth Forum, she has dealt with a variety of aspects of the relations between both countries. In this context she has acquired a valuable experience in project management, organisation and co-ordination skills, which she is currently further developing within the SDA.
Her favourite topics of activity are: Interdisciplinary approach between political science and economics; economic, social and health policy, the European Union and the Czech-German Relations.

Amélie ANNET
A translator fresh out of ILMH, Brussels, in French, English and German, Amélie in addition to translating documents, deals with a number of administrative tasks associated with the project management of the European Social dialogue budget line: organization of the translation or the outsourcing of all documentation relating to meetings, workshops and reports, editing the various language versions of the SDA newsletter (PaRL) on information rights and participation of workers; proofreading and editing various documents in the working languages, contact with hotels, translation agencies, interpreters, publishers and printers as regards the publication of studies carried out by the SDA; management of the content of the website. She also takes care of the logistical preparation of meetings including reservations, registration forms and payments and welcoming participants to the various events. She also manages the contacts database which is used for various purposes.
